o      articulation of new methods for teaching math and literacy to be incorporated during the upcoming school year;

o      changes in the daily schedule to provide time for individual, small group and whole class instruction as observed in New Zealand schools;  A schedule is in place to begin the school year.  It reflects our commitment to uninterrupted blocks of time.  We anticipate it will require revision as the school year unfolds.

o      a schedule for administering beginning of the year formative assessments in math and literacy to all first and second graders;

o      plans for training support staff in instructional methods; monthly math inservice afternoons

o      time for preparation of materials;

o      an outline of management systems to support literacy and mathematics instruction;

o      a plan for ongoing family involvement in student learning including math and literacy evenings, parent newsletters, and parent/community workshops;

o      a plan for continuous assessment of new structures; Schedule thus far: 

o      a schedule for periodic review and reflection of changes implemented;  Weekly meetings at Multiage 1-2 level; meetings at PK-2 level during monthly math inservice afternoons.

o      on-going communication with our master math teacher Loree Silvis;

o      regularly scheduled instructional planning meetings. Weekly; Wednesday afternoons? How will we include Billie and Leonia?
